A bit worried about staying after reading some reviews as I'm disabled and can't walk long distances but we phoned ahead and got fantastic customer service.
Room and shower room was very clean, large and stunningly decorated.
Staff were friendly and attentive.
We will DEFINATLEY stay there again.
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- The Last Post has been established in Southend since 1995. Originally the city’s post office and now proud to offer 14 en suite rooms, with a choice of twins, doubles or family rooms, all boasting digital temperature control, free unlimited Wi-Fi and Freeview television. We also have interconnecting rooms for larger families; however, unfortunately we do not have rooms for those with disabilities or lift access at our hotel. Southend is a vibrant seaside town on the south of the Essex coastline at the edge of the Thames estuary. The town caters for all, whether it’s shopping on the busy high street, a day out with the family at Adventure Island, a night on the town in the clubs and bars or just a lazy walk along the longest pier in England. The hotel is just a stone’s throw from High Street and only a five-minute walk from the seafront, pier and Adventure Island Park. ... more less
