So let’s start with the good bits... lovely welcome and check in was easy. Reception and public areas of the hotel were nicely decorated and very clean. My room was very clean, with a comfortable bed. The breakfast room was beautiful and the staff at breakfast were delightful and the food was excellent, cooked to order and very speedy. All of this made it well worth the £89 single room b&b rate I paid.

I did have a couple of could do betters though...the remote control was out of batteries (I am sure reception would have given me new batteries but I was already in my PJs by then), the chair in the room was so saggy that when I say in it I was only half visible in the mirror opposite, toilet didn’t flush very well and bath was very slow to fill, despite the ironic sign in the bathroom stating that the bath took under 2 mins to fill! One final small grip was the only milk available in room was carnation coffee topper which tastes vile with tea!

Overall though a nice enough stay which would have been excellent with a little more room maintenance.

We received a lovely warm welcome from Hans and he very kindly upgraded our room once he knew we had just got married. The room was lovely and the breakfast was to. All the staff are very welcoming and we have really enjoyed our 2 night break there. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Hans and team.
