Wonderful Hotel and restaurant. The double room was spacious, clean and well furnished with enough power points, free wifi and TV. The ensuite toilet shower was more spacious than many budget rooms. The supervisor, Bernie, made us feel welcome, fed and comfortable; the chef, Millie, served a great meal, and the waitress, Tilly, kept us filled with spirits. All were positive, friendly and competent. Great value for the money, It is a place 1/2 an hour away from the expensive hotels of Dover. It is a place to make your centre for sightseeing Eastbourne to Margate.

Such a pretty little hotel tucked away, as is much of Sandwich. The beautiful summer flowers on the window sills were a special touch and one we enjoyed even more when we got to our room. Our windows were laden with flowers beneath the huge windows. Our room was on the first floor (second floor for Americans) and it was quiet and we had a great sleep. Beds were comfortable and we had a flat screen TV on which we watched a show after enjoying a little picnic with food we picked up at the local Co-Op. We were so tired from the long day's walking around Deal that we opted to stay in and rest up. A gorgeously large bathroom was a welcome sight, as was the lovely shower. The hotel has a bar and extensive restaurant, neither of which we tried, sadly. Just too exhausted. The English breakfast in the morning was absolutely spot on. The staff were very friendly and helpful and obligingly let us leave our bags after check-out until we caught the train home in the early afternoon. I would recommend this inexpensive hotel. We paid about £70 for a twin room, about $92 which included breakfast! We enjoyed walking around this area as we kept coming across little side streets with wonderful shops, but the town itself was very, very quiet, until drinking time in the evening!

stayed here 1 night on walking break. friendly, helpful, good food, big breakfast.good value for money. all round positive. Band in the evening, central to the village. rooms clean and tidy. lacks a little atmosphere if anything having been modernised internally but it's not really a downside as such or a critisism.

We spent two nights at the Fleur De Lis over a wedding weekend. The hotel is very central to the whole of Sandwich, everything is in walking distance. The rooms were clean and tidy and the breakfast delicious. However the best part of our stay were the wonderful friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble, even catering for a birthday breakfast with a candle in the sausage!! I would definitely stay here again if I was in this neck of the woods :D

We visited Sandwich to attend a wedding locally. This hotel is situated in the centre with parking (Pay & Display) about 5 minutes walk away. Our room was very spacious with a 4-poster bed, shower room and plenty of drawer space. The staff and management were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Be warned, the downstairs is a busy pub in the evenings and can be very noisy. The band that was on, on our first night were absolutely excellent and the bar was very busy. We didn't eat any other meals in the hotel so cannot comment.

Room Tip: the best rooms appear to be at the front of the hotel but they are also the noisiest.
