Trained to receive students and youngsters who require very few items but who compare cost effectiveness and quality, Costa did hit the mix nail on its head.
Very hot coffee, well plced cookies and kuchen and a variety of cold sandwiches and bites makes this coffee shop a must visit when in canterbury. It gives on the main plaza, infront of various brand shops. While family is shopping sit down and sip a nice americano. If you are lucky a robust middle aged scotsman playing the bagpipes infront of hsbc will bestow on the atmosphere a wee bit of nostalgia. The cups are very large, so the mwdium sized capuccino they serve is above 250ml so beware.... i truly have visited many costas all over the qorld and i must vote this one as the best of them all so far. Congrats to the local manager and the friendly staff.

I really do try to frequent independent coffee shops if possible, but despite there being many in Whitstable, none seem to have what it takes to tempt a visitor over the threshold. Hence I drew my Costa loyalty card and asked for "crumpets". Now here's the quirk......Costa venues don't advertise crumpets and nor do they display them, but ask....and they are stored out of sight and will be heated on demand! I asked for mine to be heated twice - I know how crumpets should be cooked - and they duly arrived at my table, expertly warmed & browned and with the requested accompanying butter & marmite. The service was excellent, the food was spot on and independent coffee shop owners, who just don't understand marketing, lost another £6.

Flat White too big, not a true Flat White. Why are Costas not consistent? Staff not trained? Did not return.

I love going to costa I usually have a ham and cheese panini and a hot chocolate or mango and pineapple smoothie! .. only problem is the tables are always messy never cleaned up so u have to move the trays over to another table to get a table .... (need more staff) apart from that I always enjoy it :)

Great costa coffee with a friendly person taking order then it went wrong barista seemed uninterested and slow. The tables were not cleaned quickly.
Very deceptive coffee shop almost went somewhere else when looked through window due to size. However when served realised the store went back a long way.
