From the time we checked in the stay at the Marine Hotel was a wonderful experience and possibly one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The room was spacious, very clean and with a sea view. The restaurant and meals were exceptional with a great menu and beautifully presented meals. The bar was a delight to relax in and, to top it all, the excellent breakfast was served at the table with very friendly staff. We will be going there again soon, we only live an hour or so away so a quite local

Popped in for drinks on a cold January Sunday to be met with firstly a very limited beer selection, Master Brew only (!) then secondly when approaching the seatng area meeting with what appeared to be the local kennel clubs day out.
Dogs everywhere, all over the floor,on the settes and chairs with the all pervading smell to go with it, not at all pleasant & dare I suggest a H & S issue regarding the trip hazards they were causing.
As far as we could as ascertain there were NO dog free areas, so be warned if you're not a doggy person!

Thank you to all staff for a really great stay.
This is such a lovely hotel, spotlessly clean and so cosy with lots of areas to sit for great coffee and cocktails and views of the Tankerton coastline.
The rooms are very comfortable and welcoming with tea ,coffee and toiletries.
We had a delicious evening meal with good service in a very relaxing atmosphere, the breakfast was really good with plenty of choice for all . We were served breakfast by Patsy, who was efficient and so friendly.
Would definitely stay here again , thanks again

A great small hotel right on the seafront. Nothing flash, but good facilities, a nice restaurant/bar and friendly staff. Very comfortable beds. Best of all, it's right on the beach and most of the rooms have a view of the sea. Prices don't seem to have increased that much either since we stayed here a few years back. Breakfast was so-so, but again the staff serving were wonderfully friendly.

It's a good choice if you're mobile (and perhaps not so much if you're not) as the top floor rooms are a bit of a maze, and the 20 min walk along the seafront into Whitstable is really nice.

Room tip: I like the 2nd floor seafront rooms, as they're quiet and have good views of the sea.
