What can I say, The rooms are superb, large, comfortable and very well equipped. Dora the owner is just the most lovely person and really made us feel at home (I wished it was). We will be back again next year.

We had the most wonderful stay at The Lodge a lovely B&B in the village of Scorton, perfectly situated if you are attending a wedding at Middleton Lodge as we were. Dora (the owner) couldn't do enough for us and her breakfasts were a real treat! Extremely comfortable rooms with a perfect nights sleep on her extremely comfortable beds. Bottled water, biscuits and fresh milk were another lovely touch. WiFi, Sky, Netflix are all provided free of charge. Her very kind husband Sean taxied us to Middleton Lodge as our taxi never turned up. There are 2 great pubs in the village, the Heifer is more like a wine bar with a fantastic menu. Can't recommend this B&B highly enough. A perfect find.

Large, comfortable, double rooms with huge bathroom, all decorated and maintained to a high standard, in a lovely old manor house.

Dora, the owner, can't do enough for you. Very pleasant and friendly. The breakfast was perfect cooked - and massive! Also available was a range of cereals (including gluten free) unlimited tea, coffee and juice.

I would not hesitate to stay here again. Prices are very reasonable for this area. Scorton is a quiet little village with a good pub for evening meals, 10 min drive to Richmond, 25 mins to Reeth. Plenty of options for walking and fishing along the Swale.

Great value for money!

We have just spent the weekend at The Lodge & must say this was the most welcoming "home from home" B&B. Dora was lovely and went that extra mile for us. The rooms are a great size & comfortable, bathroom was lovely & great breakfast! We will return! Thank you Kesia & Mark

A beautiful house and a warm welcome from Dora who ensured we were immediately 'at home'. The rooms and bathroom were to a superb standard and extremely spacious. The extra touches ( top quality toiletries and a vast range of programmes available on both televisions - All Sky programmes and Netflix etc ) were appreciated. The breakfast is superb and taken in the lovely dining room. The big plus is that whoever stays here is the only guest. Two pubs within walking distance provide excellent evening meals. A great location for visting Richmond where we enjoyed some fine walking.
Dora and Shaun have put a lot of thought into this venture - and it shows. Recommended wholeheartedly.
