We went for an evening meal at Lilburns on a cold and windy night. There was no one in the bar/cafe area downstairs (apparently, this is unusual). We went upstairs where we were greeted and shown to our table in the back corner of the small, pleasant and airy room. We had a starter of very crabb-y Craster crab cakes with mango and then mains of chicken with langoustines and tarragon and duck with orange and grilled black peppered strawberries. Both were very good and came with plenty of veg - carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes (good for sopping up sauce). We had a decent bottle of champagne for a very reasonable price. Sticky toffee pudding had a very good toffee sauce and decent ginger cake (though I like mine a little darker) and very good vanilla ice cream. All in all, good food done well and for a very reasonable price.
