The castle and guides were great, had a full day out here. Lots to see and views stunning from the castle which is really well kept and family pictures made it feel homely.

The gardens are a must see they were the best I have visited. The poison garden and the guide was really interesting and fun.

Thank 77Emma

We travelled a long way to visit Alnwick Castle ,as 2 concessions we were shocked at the admission prices £26 each to visit the castle and gardens ,we felt that was too expensive so chose to visit just the castle ,again disappointing very little open to see ,I am sure that we can’t be the only ones deterred by the high cost , I think that the admission charges should be reviewed by the powers that be !

Not great value for the price probably better if with children because of Harry Potter connection. Food reasonably priced and good. Thought the gardens were the highlight.

This is a truely special place. It's a huge castle, you can just feel the history as you walk around. There's lots of helpful staff that must work very hard to keep the place.
When you go inside the castle you feel like you're in the grandest of homes, it's utterly gorgeous.
The gardens and grounds are fab, picnic tables, small tractors for toddlers to ride, swing chairs to rest in as you walk up a hill. It's just a lovely place to visit, hard to see it all in one day really.
The poison garden is very interesting with a 20 min guided tour in groups of 20, waiting by the sign at the gates. The guide knew so much.
We can't wait to go back : )

Have wanted to visit the castle for some time but as my husband wasn’t interested, I went alone while he explored the town. Consequently I felt a bit pushed for time but took the film location tour and looked at the state rooms. All very interesting but felt I missed quite a lot and the entrance fee is quite high for a short visit.
It is an impressive sight.
