After a super drive through the Borders and down the long drive it was a great sight and warm welcome that awaited us. We were greeted by the MD Mr Lang who is good ambassador for this hotel, and all his staff follow his superb example.
His wife who served our first welcome drink was helpful pointing out local points of interest and also furnishing us with some leaflets.
The climb to our room was fine and the room was well appointed and a good size. The king size bed was good to see.
The grounds are well kept and we enjoyed an enjoyable walk around them. Dinner during our two night stay was excellent with a good selection likewise is the wine list. The hotel is relaxing and the lounges offer good places to chill and read or enjoy a quiet drink.
All the staff are friendly, customer focussed and attentive, they made us feel at home. We could not fault the service, and have already recommended the hotel to our friends.
We hope we get a chance to return.

Room Tip: There are no lifts but the staff help with the luggage

We had dinner with 4 of our friends. We did not stay overnight. The ambiance of the restaurant is calm and traditional. White table cloths and silver service. The staff are amazing. Helpful accommodating. Food very good. Fortunately for us it is local and we have been often but I have never submitted a review.

My husband and myself have just returned from a weekend break at Tidmouth Park Hotel. This is the second time we have visited and again we were not disappointed. The hotel staff we all very friendly and helpful. We had two very good evening meals being served by a particularly pleasant head waitress together with some very good younger staff. The bedroom, although on the top floor, was large and airy. It was pleasantly warm, as was the whole hotel, and spotlessly clean. We will certainly revisit.

Room Tip: If you are not able to climb stairs easily, ask for a room on a lower level as there is no lift.

Recently had a 2 night break (via excellent Groupon deal) on b&b basis. Room was lovely & service was first class (Becky particularly helpful with info on surrounding areas). Evening meals were a tad on the expensive side but nice (a beef wellington was sub-standard but the chef agreed/apologized & replaced it - plus the whole cost of the course was refunded so well done on resolving the issue satisfactorily).
Must be a fab venue for a wedding (if it ever gets above 15 degrees!!)

We decided to take a short break in Northumberland and decided to return to Tillmouth Park Hotel. We haven't been there for 15 years and on arrival I cannot understand why ! This place is truly magical its in perfect location and grand house looks truly amazing. The reception was brilliant and we stayed in one of the magnificent state rooms that once defined England for what it is. As for a wedding venue first class you can take over the hotel on an exclusive basis and the staff are also amazing. A lady called Shirley Lauder has been there for so many years and is the true gem to this hotels success.
