Ideal location for walking around Keilder Water/Forest & Parts of Hadrian's Wall. Many accessible historic towns/villages & sights.
Pet Friendly...
People Friendly :)

There is no 3G/4G signal on Vodafone and the WIFI can be a bit hit & miss in the rooms, however, can be accessed within the Lounge/Bar area.

If you fancy a LATE Friday night ;) there is a late bar/music open at the back corner of the Castle, of which, I couldn't hear any noise/music from my room.

ALL the staff are extremely helpful & friendly which makes for a fantastic stay.

The food was exceptional with a vibrant young chef eager to deliver a service & quality far above my expectation.

Retire to a cosy roaring log fire in the lounge with your favourite tipple.

Looking forward to return visit.

Room Tip: Get an Elite room, spacious...

Another Fantastic Weekend Stay at Otterburn Castle, our 3rd in less than a year, that's how good it is & well worth the 70-mile trip to our favourite bolthole. The Staff, in particular Kevin (I defy you to meet a nicer, friendlier guy) & Ellie have almost become 'family' if not, firm friends. On our first night, we were provided with the most amazing 3-course dinner that certainly had the 'wow' factor both for quality & exemplary presentation and it was great to actually meet Jake the chef & thank him personally.Thank You Everyone. Don't just take our word for it, treat yourselves, you won't be disappointed!

Stayed for a two night break and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Nice clean room with a spacious en-suite (room 4). We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and had a very nice meal. Breakfast was cooked fresh for us and brought to the table which we much prefer.
The oak paneling in the dining room especially is remarkable with a fireplace you could put a double bed in.
Would definitely return.

Room Tip: If staying in winter put a sweater/cardigan on if dining on an evening as it can be quite cool in the dining room.

wonderful place; location is great to explore Northumberland especially Hadrian's Wall.
Staff were very helpful; especially Kevin who is a great character and really made our break special for us. Food was excellent and used local produce.
Would strongly recommend a stay here if you are looking for somewhere a little bit different.

Room Tip: ask for a bedroom in the old part of the castle -fantastic

My wife and I met up with a couple of friends for a two night stay In January 2017 and the service we received from the staff from start to finish was exemplary. We had a beautifully prepared meal on our first night and the food in general was of a very good quality. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds in a wonderful setting that enables you to explore the stunning surrounding countryside and historical sites.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have a great view.
