A previous trip adviser reviewer had mentioned their surprise at finding Spindrift in a modern house on an estate, so I knew exactly what I had booked.
If you want a short stay in a private bed and breakfast, this is the place for you.
A small cleverly themed garden with a seat looks out towards the sea and reflects the name Spindrift, with the items that are present as well as the flowers.
Friends tell me my standards are high, but again I've found a gem. From the moment you arrive nothing is too much trouble for Steve and Sue.
My room was tastefully decorated and comfortable. A bonus is that Sue leaves a piece of homemade cake for you each day
The breakfast is a feast. I only have a small appetite and Sue ensured I had exactly what I wanted. However, I watched other guests consume gigantic breakfasts with everything they had asked for on their plates. The choice is enormous, all the food is locally sourced and cooked to perfection. Sue, an ex Home Economics lecturer, uses all her skills, not only with the cooking but also the presentation. Best china and crystal are used at the table. Steve was ever ready to assist in any way asked to.More
