We had lunch here today, and the food was fine. The staff are keen and polite, and the view over the River Severn and Clevedon Pier is very pleasant.

We took some friends from France here, and they appeared to really enjoy it.
There is a small car park attached that was fairly full when we arrived, but the landlady bade us park on a no parking area. There was a wheelchair slope into the pub (I think), and there were some seats downstairs, but most of the pub is upstairs. There is a first floor balcony which is great in the summer, watching the gulls and rarely peregrine falcons go by.
This place is very popular, so I tend to avoid weekends and bank holidays.
The landlady was very friendly and helpful
There was a good range of beers, ciders and bottled drinks etc.
The food was standard UK pub food which was well cooked and appetising. Our guests enjoyed this - part of the pub experience. Not gastronomic food but nicely presented traditional food. Prices were about average eg £10 for fish, chips and peas, which is about the same as a fish and chip shp in Bristol; I am not sure if this counts as "Cheap Eats " or "Mid-range". Service was quick, efficient and friendly, - the pub was about 3/4 full.
We would go again, particuarly if we had guests who wanted a seaside walk at Clevedon, or who wanted the traditional English Pub Experience.

Lunch time visit on Sunday with friend and family. Five people in the group. Table booked for 1.00pm. Arrived at 12.55hrs and took our table at first floor. Booked the sunday lunches by 1.10pm and then waited 45minutes before food arrived! This was standard Beef, Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and chicken lunches so not a difficult recipe. We had to enquire twice whether our lunch was on the way. Staff not particularly interested. Food was OK, typical of Sunday pub lunch.

Second visit carried out on Valentine's day. Table booked for 6.30pm and we arrived on time. Went upstairs to our table and noticed that menus on notice board were not priced. Placed order for 2No Special 1, 1No Special 2 and 1No Special 3. Again, a very long delay for food to arrive despite pub not very busy. On arrival we noticed that order had been mixed up and one special was delivered with rice instead of the chips as ordered at the bar. Noticed also that, despite Specials Menu indicating this option included, garlic bread, no garlic bread provided. This was pointed out to the staff that delivered the food but they did not show any interest in sorting out the problem. Having waited for over thirty minutes for the food we did not want to send anything back so we accepted what was delivered. The bar manager, Adam, did come up to our table to apologise about the mix up and that was good. However, having had two disappointing visits in one week, it is very unlikely that we will visit this pub again.
Customer Service needs to be greatly improved.

Hello John,

We are very sorry to hear about your experience with us,
We take all feedback into consideration and we strive to provide the best customer service possible.
I would however like to say that we are very busy on a Sunday service and wait times can reach up to the forty five minutes that your party unfortunately had to wait. We do advise a wait time on busy periods of the day and unfortunately that time on a Sunday is our busiest of the week. Had this been brought to our attention on the day i can assure you that it could have been dealt with there and then.

Unfortunately on your visit on valentines evening I feel your review does not reflect the true story and account of events. Yes your food did take thirty minutes to arrive, on a busy valentines day evening we personally consider this a very reasonable time to wait, however when we were alerted to the fact that you actually wanted chips and not rice with your meal, (which wasn't stated when ordered) , we did offer to bring you some extra chips free of charge to the table within minutes of arrival to which this was turned down.

We also feel the request for a free bottle of wine, which has the value of £15, doesn't quite compare to the £10.50 meal you ate. We thought this issue was resolved when you accepted our apology and free round of coffees for your party of four, which were to the value of the meal you originally had, and said that you enjoyed.

If you have anything further to say on the matter please feel free to pop in and chat.
We are very sorry again for your experience and we hope to see you again in the future.

Kind Regards

Really nice staff, food is great Greek theme based but lots of classic pub options too. Amazing view from the balcony. Only downfall is the often have items off the menu mid week but not a problem if you’re not fussy
