Some of the walk has lovely views across the water to Wales, but it was bitterly cold, raining and uncomfortable underfoot. Visit on a warm, dry day and wear stout boots and, all being well, everything should be okay.

Our visit was midweek in mid March with snow still on the ground, and daffodils in bloom. Although there are some steep paths it is not too strenuous and there are lovely views inland and over the Severn Estuary. Along the way you can see the Lookout with good views towards the pier. Also the remains of the Iron Age hill fort on Wains Hill, and the site of a small 2-gun Palmerston battery dating from the 1860s. There are pillow mounds (once used to farm rabbits). St Andrews church is also worth a visit, and the Salthouse pub is conveniently situated for food and drink. Our walk lasted an hour and a half, if it had been warmer it would have been nice to sit on a bench for a while longer.

I have always loved this walk from when I was a young boy. It is so tranquil and the view out a across the Bristol Channel is breathtaking on a sunny day. It was a cool crisp day but the view both across the channel and also down on the boats at the far end of the walk were breathtaking. It is well worth the effort of walking the full length of Poets Walk and back again,

The walk is lovely with lots of things to come across such as a church, a war fort and beautiful little view points like the sugar lookout. Plenty of benches to sit and write some of your own poetry if desired

When I went it was a lovely sunny day and it didn’t feel to busy which was great. Lovely place.

I walk this route quite frequently and the views are amazing. It is a cliff edge walk (fenced) so can be breezy but can be really hot too so just depends on the weather.

Great views of the Bristol Channel, Wales, the famous Clevedon Pier and as far as the Severn bridge. The amazing Marine Lake one end and the Pill the other end. If you like Broadchurch the keep you eyes open for loads of locations filmed here.

The picture is the sunset at the Pill end of the walk. People come from all over the country to take sunset pictures here!
