Brief little two night escape with the wife was absolutely magical. Surprise bottle of wine waiting for us in an immaculate cabin with the most tranquil views. Everything extremely comfortable with plenty of facilities for self catering. Close to the magnificent Fluted Cape walk.

We recently spent a wonderful few days in the Cottage at Adventure Bay Retreat.
The Cottage is perfectly situated on 33 acres of land and very private. The interior of the Cottage is well laid out and the exposed stone walls at each end give it a lovely rustic feel.
The surrounding area is teeming with wildlife and each evening the kangaroos and other animals come out to feed on the grass. It was so relaxing to sit on the veranda and watch them, we even got to see two of the islands white Kangaroos.
There were a few minor things in the Cottage that could be improved like pegs, clothes line, iron/ironing board and a few more clothes hooks but otherwise the Cottage was perfect.

We were fortunate enough to come here to celebrate a special birthday with friends. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue. From waking up to a chorus of flame robins to a blaze of stars in the Milky Way at night, each day was packed with memorable sights and sounds. The Lodge was extremely comfortable for six adults. Luxurious bedding and plentiful pantry supplies meant we could focus on provisioning ourselves with local oysters, cheeses and those enormous Black Devil cherries! Yum! Highly recommended- Jan was an attentive and communicative host. Happy to return any chance we get - except it may mean another birthday!

What a privelege to stay in Adventure Bay retreat. The home is beautifully clean and the atmosphere is magical. There is great attention to detail, from a variety of lovely coffee, wine, island jams etc. right down to a gorgeous baby blanket with little sheep in the baby travel cot that my little girl cried when she had to leave it behind. It is so nice when a location lives up to the description and photo's - on this occassion I think it exceeded it. If you are in doubt about where to book, doubt no more... thank you

The Lodge was so special we decided to stay in an enjoy this peaceful space . Warmed by log fire and underfloor heating , comfortable bed for deep sleep and wildlife at the door ......a place to chill , read and dream .
