Well - at least a track less travelled when compared to Dove Lake. This walk was definitely worth it - we didn't get to Marion's Lookout but we did get a very good view of Dove and Lilla Lakes from here.

Lovely walk around the lake - the snow gave it a magical, if slippery element. Take a picnic if the weather is good as there are many spots to stop and relax

So disappointing but they still charge like wounded bulls to see nothing. It was cold and wet with cloud cover so thick that we couldn't see any of the mountain. Don't really know what all the fuss is about as it's really just a lake with a mountain in the background. There are plenty of other sights the far exceed this.

Great if you want a 1.5hr walk in the national park. A lot of the walk in sheltered so don't worry too much about the weather.

Signs suggest a 2 hour walk but why rush? We took 3 hours and enjoyed stopping for photo opportunities and taking time to look at the scenery. In the 3 hours we walked through mist, light rain and full sunshine. Amazed that some still walk without water or appropriate clothing for the changing conditions that may occur. You'll need a National Parks person or vehicle Pass to do any of the National Park walks in Tassie. Read the advice signs and enjoy!
