The fairly new owners (4 months) were warm and hospitable and have clearly been working hard towards upgrading the appearance and furnishings. The extra touches, such as the chocolate, tea and cake on arrival were much enjoyed, as was the home baked breads at breakfast.
It was also nice to have the use of a conservatory and lounge, complete with Christmas decorations.
Our room was cozy rather than spacious and the bathroom was small and had insufficient shelving.
Overall we enjoyed our short stay and recommend.

My wife and I stayed here for 8 nights recently. The lodge is located in a quiet area of . New Norfolk and worked well for day trips. The new owners have only had the lodge 12 weeks but are working hard to bring it up to a contemporary standard. Our newly renovated room was spotless, comfortable and only lacked for a bit of shelf space in the ensuite. Breakfast is served in a bright welcoming dining room with Jo's delicious homemade breads and or muffins and jams. Hosts No and John are friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Overall highly recommended.

Our newly renovated bedroom and bathroom were comfortable, nicely furnished, and cozy. The friendly, helpful new owners provided in-room coffee or tea (and a yummy chocolate), as well as an evening snack of cake and coffee or tea in the dining area. Breakfast was quite delicious, with several choices of cereals, breads, jams, and yogurts. The house has been freshly painted and furnished. Quiet neighborhood. The only drawback was the lack of places in town to eat dinner on a Monday night.

The couple who run this B&B are very nice and helpful. For the price it is an ok place to stay. The rooms are an adequate size, the beds are comfy and the shower has good water pressure and plenty of hot water. There is a continental breakfast included that is adequate but not that great. The rooms have all the necessities such as TV, kettle etc for a pleasant stay. But the place is in need of a makeover as it is looking tied and well worn.

We were on the way back from circling Tasmania and coming from Strahan. Overall not so sure that New Norfolk is worth the stopover and next time I would take the extra 45 minutes to continue to Hobart and stay there.

The room had everything but was a tight fit. The breakfast was more than adequate and the hosts very hospitable. We were able to change one night for another without a huge problem but there was a mix up and we got charged twice but once I notified them they were very apologetic and instantly refunded my money.

Room Tip: only offered one room

Thank you for the review rich. We find that guests these days try to travel light even to Tasmania where the weather is so changeable. Huge suitcases are a burden.
