Had an evening cruise to Sarah Island cancelled on our first night in Strahan , so we (2 couples) decide to attend the 5:30 performance of this long-running (23 years?) play . We were shocked (but gratified) to find that admission was just $15 for Seniors (us). The play is just 1 1/2 hours , giving us lots of time for dinner ... and it was an absolutely "feel-good" experience ! The focus of the cast of just 3 actors , aside from telling the true story, is audience participation , and they do a wonderful , laugh-inducing job of it! .Several audience members are integrated into the play as "actors" and the rest participate on cue , when prompted . It's pretty hard to imagine anyone NOT enjoying this presentation ; we CERTAINLY did , and would recommend that , if visiting Strahan , put "The Ship That Never Was" at the top of your priority "to-do" list .
