The last "nice" restaurant in Middletown despite being in a rundown neighborhood. Fine dining in a classy old building with beautiful woodwork. Relatively small menu. They might be out of popular entrees if you don't get there early. The salmon goes fast. Service is excellent.

We tried the Meadows for the first time tonight. Actually, we found it through TripAdvisor. First impression, the Seriously Frank music and ambiance was wonderful. The salads arrived and the dressing was homemade, yum on the vinegrette & bluecheese. My husband had the salmon which his was was wonderful, very fresh & crispy on the edges. I had the pork chop with apple bourbon glaze & to die for scalloped potatoes. Both served with asparagus. For dessert we shared a creme brule. We would highly recommend the Meadows & we will be back. Great job to all, the service was terrific too!

Chef hand picks all the seafood, meat and vegetables everyday. Everything is house made fresh everyday as well, and it shows. The location isn't so great, but honestly it doesn't matter.

This charming restaurant is off the beaten path but you will be rewarded for taking the time to find it. Under news ownership, the food is prepared fresh by a chef who knows his kitchen. Try the superb Rack of Lamb or the salmon - you will do back for more.

I have been visiting the "Meadows" on a frequent basis since 1972.

Having worked for Armco Steel and later AK Steel for 33 years, I had the opportunity to entertain and dine many business associates over the years...I have had the occasion to introduce as many as 100 + people to the "Meadows" over the years..not one was ever disappointed...it is, for real, a landmark.

If you want fine dining, a limited menu, and the best filet you can find come to the "Meadows".

A rustic atmosphere, wood paneling, booths around a bar with just a couple of tables...intimate and very cozy.

My business associates, when I asked were they wanted to meet for dinner, always said the "Meadows". The business was recently sold to a different owner...but...the legend continues...the food is super...the servings ample...the ambiance great. Not easy to get to, but if you are in Middletown, Ohio, it is worth the time to find.
