We recently took a trip Sandusky, Ohio, to go to Cedar Point for Halloweekends. We tried to book the hotels on Cedar Point grounds, but they were all booked up. So the closest hotel was this. It was a reasonable price, $60 for one night in a 2 queen bed room with a full bathroom. On google, this hotel is rated 2.2 stars, now we know why. When we got to our room, it looked pretty good. It had a tv from the 90’s with the big box on the back of it, which was good, but when we tried to watch tv, it didn’t turn on. It was plugged in and all, but it still didn’t work. So we went down to the lobby and spoke to the front desk and they gave us a new remote to try. That didn’t change anything. So we decided to go to bed instead and when we pulled the sheets off, there were dirt stains on them and it looked like they hadn’t changed them in a while. So we went back down to the front desk and complained again. They switched our room to the one beside it as the cleaning people had alright gone home. When we got to the new room, everything was fine. The tv worked and the sheets were clean. We finally got some sleep, but we will never stay here again. Instead, we will stay at Cedar Point and book in advance.

My room was clean. But the hallways were dirty like they hadn't been swept or mopped. Breakfast was donuts and coffee.
The staff were nice.
I did not like that the side doors were not secured after a certain time at night.

Horrible!!!! After we checked in we when straight to our room and the smell of the room gagged us. The room was NEVER cleaned, even thought the beds were made to look as if it was! We pulled back to blanket and make up and food was all over the white sheets. Not to mention pubic hair and male bodily fluids dried in the blankets!! Pubic hair in the bathroom sink and bath tub, carpets not vaccumed, dust over everything and the chairs in our room full of stains and change left from previous guest. I would never go back EVER! We ran out and got a refund!!

Room Tip: Too many to list. Very nasty!

Beware.

The entrance is beautiful, adorned with lush tropics plants, leather furnishings, and powerful beaming ceilings. Past that point, it's plain scary.

Hotel and poperty not maintained. It cannot be ADA compliant.

It's as if after checking out, "housekeeping" comes in and remakes the bed without doing any linen change. Small curly hairs, long hairs, dry fluids crusted onto bedding, food and makeup stains all found on bedding of our two bed suite.

Smudges all over walls and fixtures, severely stained furniture, dust covered tv and dresser, hairs all over bathroom, and a tub that hadn't been scrubbed in months. After 2 minutes of inspecting and taking photos of the place, we walked out, had our money given back, and located another motel down the road.

This place is cheap for a reason. The condition of this place is unacceptable -- have never seen anything like it. It's Ohio, not a third world country.

The breakfast was light a continental breakfast is a must. Other than that it was great. Employees were very pleasant. Could have had a mini fridge and microwave. Some rooms were update some were not we had one of each.

Room Tip: Could be cleaner, no a days most motels have mini fridge. and microwave
