If you are in the Polaris area visiting, this is a place to seek out if you like your ice cream and you love gelato. Made very authentically, this is the closest I have tasted here in Ohio to gelato that you will get in italy. The flavors are smooth and rich, while it is also kept at the right temperature. My "litmus test" for gelato is always the pistacio because so many just don't get it right - color, texture, taste - but Coppa Gelato got it right. I also had the amarena cherry which was also very good - not overly harsh cherry flavor and just the right amount of sweetness.
Overall, great selection available and was especially happy with the number of "traditional" gelato flavors that they had - no over emphasis on chocolate or odd combinations. For a small, local business, they certainly got it right. The owner certainly learned their craft well and is plying it with great taste.
Having found out about this place just recently, I made the trip up there after a late lunch in downtown Westerville. While it is too far to visit on a regular basis for me, it was definitely worth the trip. The staff was very helpful and offered little tastes for those of us who could not decide. Overall, clean, neat and tidy. I may have to make a point to have a reason to be on that end of town.
