While visiting family in the area, we went to this Panera to treat a youngster on his birthday (his choice!). It's the second time we have tried this Panera (#3368), and it will be the last.
Visit once before, a year ago, they screwed up a 6-person takeout order and questioned us when we asked for the right order.
This time, two adults ordered their incredibly overpriced ($9.29) chicken tortilla soup, along with $70+ of other food & drink.
The first soup order had broth that could only be described as soy sauce & ginger-flavored. Dark brown in color, it looked nothing like any other tortilla soup we've ever eaten. The second order had broth that was light brown, tasted right, and other than being very salty was acceptable. When we took the soy sauce soup back, the kitchen Mgr said it was the last of an older batch of soup, and that the second dish was from a newer batch. She refused to trade what was obviously an inferior product for what she admitted was newer soup. And refused to admit that the two bowls looked very dissimilar.
The customer service attitude was completely absent. No attempt to alleviate dissatisfaction. My way or the highway.
Terrible service, terrible attitude, and the franchisee should be embarrassed by this individual and her reflection on the Panera brand.
