And best of all, you can ride the train! Trains operate first and third Saturdays - April to August. We're just minutes from the Interstate, so come join in the fun at the Oklahoma Railway Museum. We visited with our family ranging from a toddler to grandparents. We had great fun climbing on the trains, walking thru the cars and exploring ar our own pace. The passenger cars from the different decades were a walk thru time warp. The model train set up kept us entertained. There were so many incredible details.

My husband and adult son explored all the different engines. They loved comparing the horsepower and mechanical details to their trucks. Happy motor heads!

When the toddler needed turned loose there is a small playground for the kids. It is complete with benches and shade.

The staff of volunteers were knowledgeable, informative and very friendly.
This is mainly an outdoor museum - plan for the weather.
Great place to visit.

The train was very nice to ride along an old route.
AC cars or open air cars-you choose.
The conductor was full of the history of the trains and how the museum came into existence.
I would do this activity again.

We went yesterday and had a blast! There was a caboose or two, several cars to look at, a gift shop (of course) and I took many many pictures!

I took my 7 yr old niece on a girls day out and we went to the OK Railway Museum. We rode the train, bought a couple items out of the gift shop and walked through several train cars. We went through a party train, a train with memorabilia in it and great information about the items that are from the first trains and we went into a train car that had several trains running on a train set that was totally amazing!! It was fun and interesting for both of us!

The train cars and exhibits here are well done and free to look at. You can go up and look inside some. The train model car is really cool to look at. The kids really enjoyed it.
The train ride for 2 kids and 2 adults was about 20 bucks. It took 40 minutes. The ride goes 10 minutes south with very little turning or scenery. By the time it gets going it has to begin stopping. The train turns around and goes 20 minutes north (10 of which you just road). Then it returns. While the train itself is cool to be on, the trip is very very boring and really needs revamped. Probably costly though.
At least it isn't expensive but imagine an hour long ride that traveled through the cool parts of okc and back.

Anyways, some things to know. There are a few rooms with AC. A few places to buy water and use restrooms. There is a gift shop and ticket area. There is a small play area for kids. Also you can begin to board 15 minutes before your train ticket time.

Thank you for your review! We run the train on the historic Missouri Kansas & Texas (KATY) line. Unfortunately a lot of the track was removed decades ago and we are limited to what remains.
