As always, an excellent dining experience (for the food). The Black Magic catfish is well-seasoned and the dirty rice is true to its roots. The regular catfish was perfectly cooked although the hush puppies were tough. As for the ambience, there was a saxophone player providing "entertainment", although his skills seemed to be limited to random notes, and the volume was so high that two parties were seated nearby only to request a move to someplace farther away. Way too loud.

We visited here after work I Tuesday night. We had a rather large group I needed to get in and out quickly. Our waiter was awesome. The food was mediocre at best but, I had a salad with blackened chicken (maybe not their gig).

I came in on a week night with a large group of business associates. We did not have a reservation, as we had just left a cocktail party, and wanted to walk from our nearby hotel. We just happened to walkby, and decided to pop in. Surprisingly, it was a quiet evening, and we were immediately seated. Great American/Cajon menu, with the usual gumbo and creole selections. Nice wine list too. I ordered a small steak and shrimp. Food was good, but not overly gourmet. We had great service, and it was a good business dinner......

The food here was very good and the bar was nice and cozy. They have many choices of cajun food and it has a feeling of New Orleans...plus it is right on the river walk.

If you love Cajan, seafood or missing New Orleans or want to experience the NOL'S feel, fun and food this is the place! Nice outside seating and plenty of indoor seating for one or large groups no problem! Wait staff are knowledgeable friendly and attentive to your needs! Great place we will definitely go back when in the area.

For real experience take water taxi that will drop near by...enjoy!
