When we visited Bandon Dunes, we made tee times for all 4 courses plus the Par-3 course. They are all surprisingly different being so close to one another, but each brings its unique difference.

We enjoyed all 4 courses and we plan to return. Our favorite was the Trails course, but that is probably because we scored our best golf there. We loved Pacific Dunes though and we liked the Pacific Grille the most out of the restaurant choices that you have at the resort.

Don't visit Bandon Dunes without playing the Pacific Dunes course, it is beautiful and challenging.

The best golf course on the whole West Coast bar none and I get to play for under $100 in the winter time when the weather is the best

Perhaps the most scenic and toughest of the Bandon quartet this course is particularly challenging because of the severity of the trouble near many greens as wells the significant contouring of the greens. Even when you're playing your second shot out of the same bunker it is hard not appreciate the awesomeness of Mother Nature coupled with the genius of the course design. Don't be fooled by the shorter back nine with multiple par 3s and 5s. It is a monster full of challenging shots.
Key to our enjoyment of the course was our caddy Matt Parise, whom we found through another Tripadvisor member. He has significant experience and college background in golf. His ability to calibrate almost immediately what club you should be hitting allows more time for appreciation. He tells you just enough about the upcoming hole to allow you to be aware while still swinging freely. My son, who has extensive professional playing experience, said with most caddies when there was a disagreement on line or club the caddy was wrong 90% of the time but found just the reverse to be true with Matt. In our seven rounds we saw several other caddies who were all competent but none came close to Matt.

Just another fabulous golf course at the resort. this is a real test of golf but the caddies make the day. I enjoyed every moment.
