We showed up at 6:00 p.m. on a Monday night with friends. The place was essentially empty, but by the time we left, the place was rather busy. The menu(s) were fun because they had color pictures of the dish in question. We could order either appetizers, main dishes, or Dim Sum. We chose to order a number of items from the Dim Sum menu, one main dish, and a side item. Wonderful, tasty and authentic. Very different than your ordinary Chinese fair. The service was super and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere. The pice was reasonable as well. Highly recommended. Free parking in the lot.

as you are aware if you have read other reviews I have been around to know what my tastes "need" now and then. So far, in all of the United States, I have not ever reviewed a dim sum restaurant as delicious as Spice N Steam. From the get go, food came out fast and hot, tasty morsel after flavor explosion The atmosphere is charming, fresh and the mural of the Kong Kong Skyline was perfect. The owner knew my son who I had lunch with and so he just kept adding to our sumptuous order with things he wanted us to try and devour we did. You need to eat here now! You will be happy you did. Off to the real Hong Kong for dime sum this weekend !

A group of 14 of us, most with China experience, hit this new spot downtown on 11th on a recent Saturday and were quite please with the food. They've not yet had their grand opening and need a little polishing on the service and order of delivery, but Hong Kong and Taiwan folks attest to the food quality. I like the BBQ pork in soft pasta tubes, and the various kinds of steam buns. Val praised the bamboo wrapped sticky rice. The kids loved the fried rice with egg and the small custard tarts for dessert. The large variety and authentic preparation left us full and happy. Prices are very reasonable too.
