“Great News: Greek Paradise has move to West Eugene”

No longer way out on River Road, Greek Paradise has spiffy new digs at 2190 W. 11th.
The food is still very good as is the service, mostly by the friendly couple who own it. Now it has a full bar -- though in a separate section -- so it is still great for families.
The menu is mostly Greek, with the exception of the American-style breakfasts and a few burgers, plus some other Mediterranean food such as the Persian soup.
Great addition the the mostly restaurant-deprived West side.

We needed a quick but good lunch after arriving at the Eugene airport and stopping for gas at Fred Meyers and thought we would try this place.

The atmosphere is plain and not terribly inviting and could use a facelift. However, everything else was great. The servers, who seemed to be owners or family were prompt and friendly and the food we ordered came quickly and was authentic and delicious. We had a gyro salad and a Persian soup. The soup was rich and delicious and the salad was filleted with tomatoes, feta, cucumbers and olives and accompanied with a nice red wine vinaigrette and a yoghurt/ cucumber dip and great fresh, warm pita bread.

I'd recommend this place for lunch for sure and would enjoy going back to try dinner

Love the chicken souvlaki dinner. Family owned and operated. Great service. Zitziki sauce and chicken soup is wonderful too.

On a whim, I wanted to treat my friend to what I hoped would be authentic Greek cuisine and to hopefully find another local favorite for myself. This establishment was poor on every level. Starting with entry, the lady that met us at the door was extremely rude and obviously had no concept of customer service. The tables and chairs are of something that belongs on the backyard patio and not in a sit-in restaurant. Very cold and uncomfortable. The service was extremely slow, even though there were only three other couples in the entire establishment. Lighting was too bright and the interior of the restaurant was outdated and definitely not Greek decor. The food, after a very long wait, lacked flavor and it was that the chef did not understand Greek food, which should be very fresh and full of seasoned flavors. Very disappointed and felt I might as well as flushed my money down a public toilet.
