Thank you Holiday Inn Express, for a great stay for an unplanned circumstance. We called about 3pm for availability and were able to check in by 6pm for 2 nights.
Although the hotel was a bit of maze, we were lucky enough to have comfortable beds, in a fairly quiet area. The pool was great until it got super busy - screaming children will echo and amplify tenfold. The vending machines are no cash - card only. That was a bummer.... The morning breakfast was pretty good! Loved the pancakes and cinnamon rolls! We did not use the laundry, and my son was the only one that used the fitness center.
Room was very clean; bathroom was clean, but the shower curtain was not long enough... water all over the floor. Microwave and fridge in the room as well as a k-cup style coffee maker. Temp control was perfect, and the a/c was not crazy loud.
The reasons I did not offer a 5 star rating was the no-cash vending, the flooded floor after each shower (4 people) and the “reservations call center” - I wish I would have asked for another agent that I could understand; although we were able to get a room, he did not get the reservation accurate. Please hire English speaking people... that was a very miserable phone call.More
