Stopped for lunch at The Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery on our tour of Portland.
Service was a little slow, however we did have a large group. Most of us ordered the fish and chips which was well worth the wait. Three good sized pieces of crispy fish (not at all greasy) and fries. Delicious!

In the business district near the Apple Store. Large bar area with a wide selection of beers, but they don't always have them available. For example, they make three Belgians but only one was available. I tried and liked the appropriately named, Tripped and Stumbled (9.7%), which was strong and smooth.

I also like the Port – Chara, which is a porter with vanilla cinnamon and chocolate - coming in at 5%

Bartender and I had a nice discussion. As a traveler, I really appreciated that each station at the bar has a plug-in for charging your devices.

We had a very large and hungry group of marathoners and Rock Bottom came through for us. A group of 30 didn't seem to be an issue. They were attentive and quick to serve even though we lingered for quite some time. I would recommend Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery to anyone visiting Portland and wanting to stay in the core. The food and beer were terrific.

We stopped in for happy hour. Service was good. The happy hour prices were great. We ordered the Nachos....it is very big. More than enough for 4 people and there was only 2 of us. We will be back!

My family went to Rock Bottom on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate our children's birthdays.

The food was very good, but even though the restaurant wasn't very busy, it seemed to take forever to bring it out. Even our appetizer of guacamole took almost 45 minutes after we put in our order before it arrived at our table.

Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and helpful, so I'm not sure where the delay took place.
