After reading all the reviews I wonder if we were staying in the same place! I chose this B and B after reading the wonderful reviews but found our experience entirely different.
The gardens were beautiful and Scott and Bobbie were wonderful but our stay in the cottage was unpleasant. We were two older women, one disabled, traveling alone.
There was no offer to help us with luggage, either on arrival or when leaving.
The lighting in the cottage was so dim we could not read or apply makeup.
The shower was so tiny anyone larger than us would not fit.
There were no robes, and scanty kitchen utensils, all plastic. Upon arriving back the first evening we were shocked to find our beds had not been made, towels were damp and where we left them, (not on floor!), trash was not removed and worst of all,
our dirty wine glasses and coffee cups were as we left them! The service was worse than a mid class motel, the one with the number in it's name. Beds were made 2nd night after our complaint, but again on 3rd night, no service. Silverton itself and the area was lovely. We were there to see the iris garden which was beautiful

Room Tip: do not choose the cottage

My husband and I were in Silverton for a work event. We wanted a nice, quiet B&B for a night to limit travel time from Salem. We couldn't have made a better choice!!

Scott met us at check in and was friendly, hospitable, and welcoming. We stayed in the cottage out back. I should have taken pictures but forgot. Scott and Bobbie keep the place in immaculate condition.

Bottom line: we will stay here again when we need a place in town. We couldn't have had better hosts and appreciate the accommodations and cleanliness. Thanks you two!!!

Lovely warm and inviting house with lovely and warm hosts Scott and Bobbie.
We stayed 3 nights in the cottage behind the house, perfect little hideaway.
The 2 guest rooms in the house had private baths and very spacious.
The house was beautifully decorated with antiques, but didn't have a heavy feel.

Breakfasts were hearty and we were given choices of times to eat.

2 block walk to downtown silverton, great wine bistro and shopping.
Silver falls state park is 17 miles from town, beautiful hikes to 10 waterfalls.

Beautiful and very comfortable rooms nestled in the setting of a lovely garden. Birdwood Inn is charming! The hosts, Bobbie & Scott, are extremely accommodating. Breakfasts are hearty, tasty and get travelers ready for an eventful day. I have stayed at Birdwood Inn twice for 2-3 days each time. I will definitely return. My favorite place to stay in the lovely and quaint town of Silverton, OR.

We loved our one night stay at the Birdwood Inn. Bobbie and Scott were so welcoming. Our room was clean, cozy and beautifully decorated. We were in Silverton for a family wedding at the Abiqua country estate which was lovely. The next day we hiked the Silver Valley Falls State Park - Wow'. Highly recommend!
