We were on a hunt for fresh crab that we could cook ourselves out side at the Embarcadero. The boats on the bay were already closed for the night (6pm), so we ventured off the tourist strip to this very VERY casual market. It was extremely hot inside from the summer temps and the heat of the deep fryers, so we ordered our food to go. Everything was very fairly priced and portions good sized. We especially liked the oyster shooters ( served with really sparky honemade coctail sauce) and lemon, the onion rings, and the fresh crab salad. Smoked fish was available as well as so many other fresh offerings...we'll have to come back to try some of the smoked fish to go! NOTE: this is very casual. Everything is served in paper or in boxes, plastic utensils, catsup packets, etc, and the vast majority of menu is deep fried, but the batter is really light and crunchy (not greasy) and they have really fresh quality fish :).
