Stayed at Glen & Sandy's wonderful B&B and loved everything about it. Great food, setting & yoga class. Peaceful setting, especially on the back porch/patio with the view over the pasture and cattle grazing. Could not find a better B&B, especially for bicyclists. Glen, is the bar completed in the old barn yet?

Room Tip: All rooms are great.

We loved our stay here. Food and hospitality were great. The problem was, when I called to get a quote, the owner told me it would be $150. When we got our final bill, we realized it was $150 PER PERSON. This doesn't seem typical for lodging and the owner didn't seem forthcoming with the fact that it was $150 per person. While we loved our experience, we wouldn't have paid $300 for a room that didn't include a shower and the regular privacy of a hotel room. We only realized it was $150 per person when we confirmed on their website later on at home after looking at our bill.

On the upside, the property was beautiful and Sandy is a great cook. They also give you wine or beer at night with dinner and will make a coffee drink of choice in the morning. The place was also quite tastefully done. For $150 (similar pricing to a McMenamins experience which has included breakfast and a dinner voucher), we'd go back in a heartbeat. For $300 maybe not.

Thank you for your Trip Advisor rating. We appreciate your kind words regarding the food service and hospitality during your recent stay at the Coastal Mountain Sport Haus. Our website describes the property and business as an agritourismo much like you would find across Europe. We do our best to provide a travel experience very different from what you might find with a hotel/hospitality chain. Looking into our confirmation archives we discovered that your confirmation was not sent, and for this we apologize since it outlines everything concerning your stay including the total cost. We sincerely appreciate your support of our family run business and wish you many more wonderful travel experiences.

Amazing countryside views, scrumptious food, and a beautiful lodge setting! I strongly recommend Coastal Mountain Sport Haus to anyone looking for a getaway. Glen and Sandy far exceeded any hospitality I have ever encountered. They create an extremely welcoming environment, i felt like family! They also accommodated my special dietary restrictions very graciously!

Jodi with Bonfire yoga in Beaverton arranged a yoga retreat at the Coastal Mountain Sport Haus. The weekend was absolutely wonderful. Located about an hour from my home in Portland, the drive was scenic and enjoyable. The destination on the Nehalem River was serene and beautiful. The hot tub was a perfect spot where I started and ended the day. Our hosts were so inviting, the food was yummy, plentiful and fulfilling. It is the perfect place for aspiring yogis to practice and relax.

In my search for a romantic weekend get away for my wife and I. I stumbled upon this gem. We put in at Banks OR left our rig and rode our road bikes 21 miles on the rails to trails to Vernoinia . We opted out of highway biking so they came to get us with shuttle. We ended up in one beautiful piece of property. Sandy and Glen are amazing hosts. Their culinary skills are second to none . They had an super appetizer and spectacular dinner. Another cool aspect is you dine with new people in a friendly setting. The best thing is no one had heard my stories! Nor I theirs. A great evening . In the am we had a yoga session with another wonderful breakfast, a walk on the property to see the little baby calf. Then we were shuttled back to the trail head for the 21 mile bike back. An added bonus Glen and Sandy decided to bike to the top of the hill with us. Glen is a good point man so we drafted as much as possible... Now THATS hospitality!

When we left it felt like saying good by to old friends...we will return!

Room Tip: All rooms are immaculate! Just go!
