A lovely spot with tons of atmosphere off of 30 near Bedford, Pa. We chose to share a few plates and glad we did. The Crab Corn chowder was thick with abundant fresh crab. There was a lovely choice of salads and decided on the Salmon. I was so surprised to have such a large portion of salmon and glad that I was sharing with my spouse. It was large enough for two.
The service was great. There is dining on an outside patio, tavern setting or dining room. We chose the patio, which was a bit noisy from the highway traffic, but still enjoyable.

We always enjoy our visits and our meals. The scallops and asparagus is always my favorite! Every seasonal special is typically amazing... Like the butternut squash bisque! Atmosphere is always clean, you may have a little bit of a wait but it's worth it!

Ate there twice in two days!! Beautiful historic setting!
Salmon cakes, pork chops with a blueberry sauce. oatmeal pie (like pecan). Excellent service. Suggest calling ahead reservations may be necessary, at times they are very busy. Bar is separate from dining room, also outside dining and gift shop.

We visited the Jean Bonnet Tavern for dinner with another couple. The food was interesting (not all of it was the usual fare) and well prepared. Our waitress, Stephanie, was very -pleasant and efficient. It could at times be a bit difficult to hear our conversation because the sound did not deaden with the stone walls, but the ambiance is worth it.
