What more can one say? Hospitality, decor, availability, great food, parking and anything one could want, including horses!!!!! The location is about 40 minutes from the Gettyburg National Battlefield. Just far enough away to have some peace and quiet after touring.
We will be going back! Please don't book when we want to go :)

Room Tip: They are all good rooms, and variety. Dee will work with you.

This was not our first visit to Pheasant Field and it won't be our last. It is our place of choice when visiting family or attending events in the Carlisle area...you just have to be lucky enough to get a reservation at this popular place. That is to the credit of Dee and Chuck, the innkeepers, who treat you like you are family. All the rooms at the inn are beautifully appointed. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the location of the inn is off the beaten path..quiet and serene. Except maybe for the whinny of a horse now and then and the rumble of a Corvette or two on the Corvettes at Carlisle weekend! You won't go wrong giving Pheasant Field a try. You will leave relaxed, asking Dee for her wonderful breakfast recipes and looking forward to your next visit. I know we are. This is a great place hosted by wonderful people.

Room Tip: If you need a little extra room or are a family of four, this inn offers a carriage house a few steps from the inn that will accommodate your needs and has a kitchenette too.

We have been visiting Pheasant Field for 14 years. It is ideally located, close to so many attractions. Dee and Chuck, the Innkeepers, are very special people. The Inn and surroundings are perfect. Beautifully landscaped, peaceful place to relax by the pond or on the front porch. Need to just pause and reflect, by the pond is a labyrinth to walk and just take in the sights and sounds of country living. Feel like a nice hike, the Appalacian Trail is just up the road, walk as far as you want. Of course, you want to do that after one of Dee's delicious breakfasts. I can't say enough about Pheasant Field. We are never far down the road before we start looking forward to our next visit with Dee and Chuck at Pheasant Field.

Room Tip: We always stay in Lady Amherst's Library. Large, comfortable room with a king sized bed and a beautiful sitting room to relax and visit in. The jacuzzi at the end of a busy day is so relaxing. Lady Amherst's Library is on the first floor of the Inn. We wake up to the wonderful aromas of a delicious breakfast being prepared for us.

My husband and I have stayed at the beautiful Pheasant Field B and b for many years. Everything about the Inn is wonderful. The owners, Dee and Chuck are very nice and treat you like family and make you feel like you are right at home. Their attention to details are excellence. Their breakfasts are so delicious. There is a small refrigerator with bottles of water, soda and juice and a snack bar for their guests which is in the kitchen area. The rooms are very clean, quiet, comfortable and have everything that you need in them. The gardens all around the Inn and the lake, which is across the street, are so beautiful. Of all the places that we have stayed at we love the Pheasant Field B and B the best. We would recommend the Pheasant Field to everyone.

Room Tip: All of the rooms are nice and quiet and beautiful. I would say to go on their web-site to look at the pictures of the rooms to see which one would like the best.

I LOVED my stay here and would do it again in a heartbeat and already told my parents they needed to go there. The grounds are gorgeous, the house is beautiful and comfortable, and Dee and Chuck are immediately warm and friendly. I was traveling on my own, and I felt so welcome and safe here. The history of the house is fascinating. It's a little ways out in the countryside, but that's exactly what I wanted. I loved that they had directions for a few hikes/walks that you could take from the house, which I took advantage of and loved every moment. Breakfast was delicious too.
I hope to return one day, it really was enchanting, as another reviewer stated.
