We liked the fun atmosphere of this place. The shepherd's pie was fine. My main complaint would be that you should never get a Guinness as quickly as you order it--meaning, they don't pour it properly. Still, you make sacrifices for a fun atmosphere.

We spent a recent weekday evening with friends at Riley's. We all had a great time. The establishment is located in a safe downtown area of friendly Carnegie. The bar area is cozy and inviting. The outside area is wonderful with both large open and partially covered sections. We sat near the front and near the street and thoroughly enjoyed the open view of the downtown. There was a solid live band that was great fun. The food was very good (outstanding wings) and the beer selection extensive (Guinness on tap) and reasonably priced. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful.

If you are looking for a fun night out in Pittsburgh, this is the place. This was our first but by no means our last visit. Its a good thing we don't live nearby or we would be serious "regulars".

Thanks everyone for a great evening of fun and food.

Friends were visting from out of town and their hotel was very close. Based on reviews we chose to check out the restaurant. Food was great. The Reuben was enormous and my husband and I split it. The mussels app was also very good. We chose buffalo blue cheese fries and sweet potatoe fries both very good. There is very little difference in the size of the half portion and full portion of fries but quite a bit of difference in price. I would recommend the half portion. The outside seating wasn't very comfortable but ther was plenty of room.
