Stopped here on a 2-day motorcycle excursion (mostly on road, but some fire roads/gravel roads) for lunch. Interesting menu, looks like they change it up pretty frequently. I got the grilled cheese of the week, which was thinly sliced (1/4'd lengthwise) dill pickle spear, bacon, and sharp cheddar on sourdough bread, with chips and another half pickle on the side. I cannot recall my friend's selection, but he was happy with it. I had ordered a latte as my beverage--after it arrived, my friend wanted a coffee. He went up to the counter to order it and to settle the lunch tab, paid for both. The waitstaff then proceeded to tell him that there was no coffee, and utterly failed to solve this very basic restaurant request/problem. They appeared unconcerned with the fact that he paid and did not receive the product. This is very poor restaurant manners, IMO. So they lost points for not really caring to either refund or resolve the coffee issue.
Great place to take the kids and enjoy the food and fun at this neat spot in Eagles Mere, ice cream is great too!
Located in the middle of Eagles Mere and beside the park is the "sweetest place in town"!! There are about 30 varieties of (Hershy's) very "YUMMY" ice cream-- served in cones and/or a dish!!! There are also other snacks as well as burgers etc. On a warm evening it will be quite a popular place--- but any wait is definitely worthwhile!!
Stopped to walk around lovely Eagles Mere. What a gem of a neighborhood. The Sweet Shop was the only place open cause it was the evening, but it was very busy and the cherry vanilla ice cream was yummy on a summer night.
