This little Mexican restaurant was certainly a surprise. It was not your typical American Mexican restaurant. My chimichanga was made with a homemade flour tortilla that was simply delicious. Highly recommend!!!

Awesome place. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but looks are deceiving in this case. They make some great authentic Mexican cuisine here. Try the beef tongue tacos!! The Tortas sandwiches are HUGE and delicious as well. Enjoy!

Drove quite a ways after reading the reviews and came away unhapy. Prices are midrange for a really "downhome" establishment.

Guacamole (with chips), Chicken Chimichanga and Borimex Combo Burrito were selected. Food bland, too Americanized, insufficient zestiness. Had to locate table salt and ask for red and green salsas. Too few chips for the price paid.

First off, do not expect the usual basket of chips and salsa when seated as is customary at most Midwestern Tex-Mex style establishments. Yes, this may be an authentic place, but you pay for authenticity, it is NOT Tex-Mex, and it is not located in the Midwest.

Insufficient serving size of beans and rice. Chimi and Burrito were OK, but again light on the meat servings per items. No beverages are served, because you help yourself from the refrigerated case including water and are charged after for what you consume. Napkin folded around serving ware OK in size and strength, but the tissue-paper thin napkins in the dispenser at the table are a joke.

Order twice as much as you think you’ll eat or else you’ll go hungry.

This restaurant was 20-30 minutes from the campground, we stayed at, but definitely worth it! There was a mexican chain restaurant a couple of miles away and we were glad we made the trip here. We drove our camper and there was plenty of parking. It doesn't look fancy, but the food tastes homemade and just the right amount of spices. We ordered tortilla chips with salsa and the chips were thicker than I have had (maybe homemade) but had good flavor and crispness. Our waitress was friendly and was able to get my husband the enchiladas with the fillings he wanted. I had a chimichanga which was just right - crispy on the outside and tasty fillings inside. Also the sliced avocado, sour cream and chopped tomatoes on top tasted fresh. Save room for dessert because the Fried Ice Cream might be the best you have ever had! The coating was corn flakes and graham crackers and the vanilla ice cream was very creamy - tasting homemade of premium ingredients. Of course the whipped cream and strawberry topping was delicious too. The wait for our food was just right. We chose soft drinks from the cooler and I think the price of about $30 was reasonable. I wish they were closer to where I live.

The owners of this restaurant -- one from Puerto Rico and one from Mexico -- have accomplished a menu with a wonderful assortment of their native foods and flavors. Really super pastelles! And yummy pork sofrito is excellent! A nice array of Hispanic foods are also available -- I found (finally!) where to get horchata mix! Helpful folks there -- friendly atmosphere. A good stop -- even on a Sunday.
