Loved this cute speakeasy. The drinks were wonderful and so was the food. Great service. Will go back there again!

We went with the family (we were 8) and we were seated at a table not far from the stage. The cocktails were really good! The food was average to below average (meaning totally standard basic food for a very high price),
My main issue was the music. The singer was actually excellent! Beautiful voice and great choices of songs, great cover band (they were only 2.. guitar and voice). But the music was so loud that it was impossible to communicate with anyone less than a seat away from you! And even so, it was really hard to communicate. My voice was ruined in matters of one hour. The truth is that the girl’s voice was beautiful (hence the title I gave to this review), to me, either we should have all listened to a real concert, everyone shut up and enjoy her voice (then eat or drink), and then the music should have been louder!
OR she was WAY too loud, and let’s lower the volume of everything she sung, and let everyone enjoy everyone else’s company.
I think the experience could be enhanced by doing one or the other.
I don’t think I would go back if there is music. Or I would go as a couple, to not talk and enjoy the performer.

This place is good for the person who wants to enjoy the atmosphere of a speakeasy, but not the 1920's retro look, though going through the bookcase in the lobby does get one in the proper frame of mind to celebrate...but, it is a modern place with great seats for people to talk and linger over some good beers and great cocktails! The music that is played here varies and the performers are so close you can reach out and touch them...but, don't. Varied styles abound here from Jazz, to Blues to Rock-a-Billy, and the venue is well suited for that intimate scene that a speakeasy should exude. Otherwise, it is filled with laughter, conversation and a staff that is attentive and ready to help you enjoy your evening. Highly recommend this place.

A walk through the bookcase takes you into this contemporary Speak Easy and into a wonderfully designed space. With Charlie Chaplin pictures playing in the background, great quotes on the walls, comfy seating, high table top seating and a beautiful bar too this place fits like a glove. Their cocktail menu is outstanding and their watermelon Moscow mule is sooo worth it. So are their small plates as well though the baba ganoosh needs a bit of work. But this place is wonderful. Service is fantastic and their live music was excellent. Hats off to the Drifter Kings from Ohio on their new CD Daddy Long Leggin'. If you are looking for a fun place to meet up, grab a bite and enjoy live music do not miss this place. Way too much fun!

We stopped here after a recent show to check the place out after hearing about it. The atmosphere is good with a semi unique concept, thats about it. We really like to travel and go out to eat all over the country. So i try to rate things as an average person would see it and as a foodie would also because each have their different expectations. Both of these fell flat with this place.

As an average "normal" customer its like a 6 on a 10 scale. We were a group of three and ordered cocktails, wine, small plates and entrees. We got the charcuterie board and the pork belly for the Apps and all three of us got the Mahi-mahi as the entree.
The charcuterie board was billed as cured meats, cheese selections and all the fixings including fresh bread. It consisted of pepperoni slices and two rolls of cured pork. The cheese was two wedges of a softer cheese maybe a white cheddar and a cheve, not real sure what it was. Some warm olives and crackers. no fresh bread, a fig jam that didn't go with anything cause the cheese wasn't strong enough to warrant the jam. So i wouldn't really call it a charcuterie board but more like a meat and cheese tray. Not to mention the price point on it was pretty high for what you got.

The MAhi-MAhi was awful. It was way over cooked. It seemed as maybe they pre-made all the fish and just re heated it. It also was suppose to have a curry sauce. Which it was drizzled with something but you couldn't taste curry at all. It was way under seasoned to the point it had no flavor really at all. The dish came with some risotto which was also over cooked, way under seasoned to the pint of it was completely tasteless. All in all it was below average food at high end prices. Its really like the food equivalent of putting lipstick on a pig.

The service was not great either. It started off kinda okay, but then just tanked out. She never took our menus off the table and just left them stacked there, we finished our meal and waited a really long time for the check. The people next to us had the same issue and they went up and just got it from her at the bar area.

Good points were the cocktails were pretty good! other than that we probably won't go back unless its for drinks.
