This hotel is advertised as 100% smoke free. Our room stank of smoke and the entire property is littered with cigarette butts.

One woman was handling check in with a line of people. Most of which came back because their key cards wouldn’t work. Someone else came back because their new room was still dirty from the last guest.

The wood floors in the rooms are nice but the hallway carpet was nasty. The hallway smelled horrible and the same pile of towels were in the same spot in the hallway for two days.

Making the bed means pulling up the covers and nothing further. Our room had no hair dryer, iron, ironing board or garbage.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for the weekend, came to see imagine dragons at Hershey stadium. Choose this place for two reasons: it was the cheapest and nicest looking and it was only 20 minutes from Hershey park. For two nights we spent around $220. The room overall was fine. Tv was a nice decent size - large. The king size bed was comfortable. The smoke alarm was detached and placed in one of the drawers. The bathroom was pretty small. It's a two level hotel. Stairs to get to the second level. The lobby was pretty small. The lady working the front desk was super nice though.
The one night I called down to the front desk to ask for two towels and two extra pillows. The gentleman on the phone said he had no extra pillows to spare at the time and as for the towels we can come get them at the front desk ourselves. Wasn't to pleased that he said I could come get the towels, especially since my room was at the very back and would take awhile for me to walk there.

It wasn't the best place I've stayed for that price but it wasn't awful. It was nice only having a 20 minute drive to Hershey park. We had good places to eat near us. There was a Target right down the street. There was a cool bowling place near us that was cosmic bowling.

For what it was, not too bad. Then again, we don't spend the majority of our vacation in the room anyways.

We picked this hotel for the location, close to Hershey without paying for a premium location. What we got was a nice room. The plus? The floors aren’t carpet, but wood laminate! If you’ve ever worried about what was hiding in the carpet in your hotel room, this is definitely a solution. We will definitely return. Minus? We couldn’t reserve a ground floor room & they were all gone by the time we checked in.

Room tip: No elavators.

Red Roof Inns are working hard to make their value hotels better.
Staff were friendly & helpful.
We usually stay in the handicapped rooms with roll in showers. It is a good size room.
They have been updated - comfortable king bed - hardwood floors - flat screen TV
Frig & Microwave - safe in room (you will be charged extra if you use it)
No free breakfast but coffee maker in room & free coffee in office
McDonalds next door & Bob Evans within walking distance

Room tip: Choose a bottom floor room when possible - away from highway for less road noise check special rates (look in Highway books at rest stops)

Good location! Walking distance from several great restaurant options and a short drive from downtown Harrisburg and the capitol building. Nice hardwood floors in the room and good tabletop/counter space for unpacking and getting comfortable.
