We stayed at the Red Roof Inn on Church Rd, in Hazleton, Pa. The room we had, had an kitchen, living room and bedroom. The rooms was large enough for 6 people comfortably and the couch pull out to a bed. The stove was electric but it was good enough to warm up our food from the night before. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was somewhat modern. The only thing, I believe that needed to be updated was the AC/Heater Units, they were old but worked well. This hotel was a nice hotel to stay at even though when we pulled up to the front entrance I was like "we are staying here" but once we got to our room we were surprised. The hotel has a outdoor pool, we didn't use it but it was across the parking lot. The free breakfast was simple and nothing to be surprise about, scramble eggs, sausage, two cereals(there was nothing for young kids etc fruit loops) , waffle maker and bagels.

If you are looking for a very basic motel room. This is it. The price was low and it was very clean. On the downside, the rooms were small and the continental breakfast was very limited and it was housed in a different building than the rooms. We were in section "D" apparently the only building not yet updated. There were no ice nor vending machines in this building which was inconvenient once you were in for the night. However, the staff was friendly and our plumbing problem when we first arrived was taken care of in a timely manner.

The inn is about 3 miles off 81 but worth the ride. The clerk, I think her name was Shirley, couldn't be nicer. The rooms were recently remodeled and smoke free. Linens were awesome and so were the pillows and mattress. Great night's rest. Newer tv and coffee/tea in the room. Room was very clean.
Breakfast was very nice also. Eggs, waffles, yogurt, cereals, bagels/toast , fruit and coffee/tea/juices. The morning clerk was also very accommodating.
It was worth the short drive.
The only negative was curb appeal. If they took the time to weed at least around entrance and front rooms it would be 5++.
Nice overnight stay and restaurants near.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of this hotel. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. The breakfast had several healthy options as well as the typical choices. They actually had scrambled eggs! I would definitely stay there again!

After we found the place. ( the wind blew the sigh down) it was a present stay. The rooms were clean and big , the bath was big. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very good scrambled eggs, waffles, danish, juice, coffee, bagels,The directions in the Red Roof guide was wrong. but our GPS found it ok. Will stop here again.
