“Three course for £12”

Staff were friendly and pleasant.
Starters were OK; ice cream was good. Creme Brulee was like thick custard.
Carvery was varied; pork was good but beef was tasteless with no texture (seemed processed). Cauliflower, carrots and peas were good, potatoes were a bit dry.

Probably what you would expect for the price.

Never been before. Found the staff extremely helpful. Food was amazing. Good value of three courses for £10.00 including one which was carvery. Will definitely be visiting again and telling others about it.

Don’t waste your time.
Service is awful. Staff have no idea what they are doing. ‘Let me check with the supervisor ‘.
Food mediocre and only when what you want is available. Do not waste your time and money. There are far better places to eat.

Just come back from a Carvery meal at the Plough today. Waiting ages to be seated and nowhere for people to sit even though table was booked in advance. Was like a cattle market. Bar was under staffed and was a scrum to get to buy a drink. Huge queue for the Carvery, lots of choice but tasteless pork and chewy and veg was cold - hard to cut slices of meat. My husband had beef and said it too was tasteless and chewy. Gravy had no flavour. Puddings were ok but staff were too busy preparing puddings for dispatch and ignored us in the queue. It was an experience not to repeat I’m afraid. I will not be recommending - sorry.

I have just been for my dads birthday with my parents and brother all 18yr+ the food deal for £10 was good value for money and the food itself was good however the service was horrendous.

From being a waitress myself since I was 16 for the last 4 years the pub I work in is a very standard common working day pub however the difference in standards for staff in compassion is so bad and unprofessional

We were seated at the top of the Stairs on table 20, the meeting area for staff to stand and chat seems to be randomly at the bottom of the stairs a meter away so the entire meal all I could hear was a group of 6-8 girls laughing, singing, arguing and gossiping blocking half of the stair case

There is no organisation or system the staff don’t have sections or their own tables so become easily confused with who’s getting what, every time they came out with food they would walk clumped together blocking the path asking giggling loudly what it was where it’s going and where the tables were

Our server was a big brunette/blondish tall girl who walked half up the stairs and slumped on the railing and said ‘you ready then?’ It was actually funny how rude the entire interaction with her throughout the meal was. She was the same with an elderly couple next to us which just made me internally cringe with her lack of workplace awareness and attitude

The barman became confused when ordering a Guinness and completely dumbfounded when the barrel was empty and no beer came out and eventually gave us 2 instead of one

From reading the reviews about the staff before coming I don’t know why I was surprised by how bad it really was.

I’ve never complained or reviewed anywhere before but needed to go to the effort to remake an account to do this

If anyone suggests to me to go again I would literally rather go anywhere else
