St. Nicholas church in Shepperton is a lovely looking old church with a clock tower and a real cosy interrior that makes you feel welcome straight away. A church has been on this plot since the 7th century, and the present church was built in 1614 with some excellent architectural features. The clock in the tower dates back to 1769. Great place to come and sit inside to remember others.

Wonderful occasion of the christening of my granddaughter. Everybody remarked on the appropriateness of the ceremony perfectly orchestrated by the vicar.

Although we now live in Australia, my wife and I always visit this church when we are in UK. We were married here in 1973. We attend the Sunday morning communion service and love the friendliness of the people here. We are always made welcome. The church itself is undergoing some work but has kept it's old fashioned appeal. The pews, the kneelers, the windows and various plaques are all interesting. Well worth a visit!

Its a small laid back church surrounded by restaurants and the river near by. The church tower is a later part added on which when you look you can see the different construction materials used. The inside is plain but it does have quite a few plaques on the walls for the war dead of the village and people who lived and died there.

The church sits in a small graveyard and its a 2 min walk to the river. It is worth a look at but its not special.
