Perran House. Firstly, the location is great and the property is a good size. Unfortunately we cant find any other positives, so here goes.

1. When you turn the main light on in the lounge it trips the downstairs lights completely, plunging the house into darkness.

2. The lounge particularly, smells of dog and despite emptying the Dyson and hoovering again, we where unable to get rid of the smell, we lit scented candles and tried not to us the lounge as it was so offensive.

3. The freezer was off as you would expect, but it had mouldy food in it.

4. The wall by the side of the dishwasher was dirty and stained.

5. The oven was filthy.

6. The toaster was full of crumbs.

7. The plug in the upstairs bathroom doesn't work making it impossible to fill the sink.

8. The TV in the big bedroom doesn't work.

9. The sliding door on the conservatory is very difficult to open and close.

10. There are no bedside lamps throughout the house making it difficult and dangerous if someone need to get up during the night.

11. There is no mat by the shower, making it slippery and dangerous.

We felt unable to approach Burrells due to the offhand greeting we received on arrival, and the manner in which our request for tea towels and the battery in the smoke detector to be changed was dealt with. We also felt, that for the price we paid, the accommodation left much to be desired and was overpriced, and therefore would be unable to recommend this accommodation to anyone else.

I booked 2 apartments for a surprise 50th for my wife and our children and their partners. Mr Burrell and his lovely family bent over backwards to make the occasion special can't thank them enough, and if you get the chance have Sunday dinner in their restaurant their son is an excellent chef. Thanks again and will be back

We are two adults with four little doggies.
After a weeks stay at the Atlantic bay Apartments (very bad experience) we came upon The Burrell's properties - it was complete opposite to the experience we had had at The Atlantic Bay Apartment.
Burrell's was easy going, apartment was clean, no fuss about the dogs.
We will be back -- and are already looking forward to visit The Burrell's Properties again.

The property is close to the beach, shops & some great food experiences.

Mr Burrell very helpful with tips of where to go & what to see

Perranporth shops are vary reasonable on a whole.

places to visit is St Ives, Lizard, The Minack Theatre, Sennen Cove & Falmouth

We have been unfortunate enough to stay at this holiday rental from November 2012 until leaving early in April 2013.

On the one plus side the house is in a beautiful location virtually on the beach.

The house is tired though to say the least. Inside it is a coin operated economy 7 electric / electric heating system. It is not in any way fit for purpose. The night storage heaters are rusty and rotten...several don't work at all.

The kitchen is too small by far....the owner quite clearly has gone for a more is more approach and crammed in accommodation for 10 people in this house even using the downstairs room as a bedroom!!

The bathrooms are farcical the dribble from the electric downstairs shower is poor...don't expect a nice warming shower after a day at the beach or surfing as my kids do.

The upstairs bath is comical...its a lovely double Jacuzzi affair....only problem is that whoever fitted it forgot that the house was on economy seven with a small boiler.....to fill the bath therefore takes at least three hours and two immersion re-heats of the boiler. There is no upstairs shower to compensate.

The double glazed widows don't fit they are a struggle to open / close and leak.

The downstairs plumbing is a joke and leaks.

The carpets are a lovely 70's retro throw back affair. Sorry my mistake they have been there since the 70's.

There is damp showing in the downstairs bedroom wall....unsightly and im sure not very good for you.

As we rented the house as a holiday let it came part furnished. Some of the bed matresses are very comfy some are old stained and need replacing. The sofa in the lounge is a habitat modular faux leather affair.....I really hope it has been replaced I was accused by the owner of letting my dog sleep on it....In response to that no I didn't my dog sleeps on better thanks.

If you do complain the owner tends to ignore you as he did to us when we complained about the radiators not working.

Perranporth is a beautiful seaside town. This house is a dump though.

Don't let your kids play in the garden as there is a lot of broken fencing with rusty nails
