Fabulous place to stay. Cottages are beautiful. Fully equipped and clean. Great location on a farm near Eden Project. The owners Farmer Andrew and his wife Anita are very friendly but unobtrusive with lots of knowledge of Cornwall and places to visit. Loved the pool

My wife and I wanted to stay in Cornwall and chose Menadew from seeing the photographs and reading other reports. We are so glad that we did! From the moment we walked into Ryland cottage, we felt relaxed. It's a 2 person studio and is superbly equipped from the kitchen area to the lounge, sleeping area and shower room. Fresh flowers, milk, tea and clotted cream scones and jam were there to welcome us.
Anita came to tell us about the cottages and the amenities - we had a dedicated washer in the laundry room - and a little later, Andrew brought us some freshly-laid eggs from their hens. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
There is a family games room on the farm and the bonus of a splendid swimming pool which we often had to ourselves. We had our own car parking space which was another bonus. Should you decide to use them, there are frozen meals from a local source and Cornish ice cream of various flavours to purchase.
If you want a lovely, relaxing holiday in delightful surroundings, Menadew Farm takes some beating!

So glad that you felt at home in Ryland. It is a lovely little cottage, ideal for two people. I must admit, we are very proud of our swimming pool (wish we could use it more). We would love to see you back at Higher Menadew Farm. There is always something new to see in Cornwall

Well, this is a fantastic place to stay! We stayed in Lamorna cottage for two weeks, with our little boy, Felix. The cottage itself is modern, spacious, comfortable, very well equipped and quiet, as is the whole area (which is a farm). The playroom and heated swimming pool are excellent, and served us very well on those days the rain came. Andrew's morning animal feeding sessions were great; Felix loved feeding them, and collecting a fresh egg ;-)

All in all, we were very happy and would certainly stay there again!

What a lovely place this Farm is. My son Max loved it. Feeding the animals, running around the farm and in the pool. Our cottage 'Hayden' was so cosy and perfect for our trip. Can't wait to go back. The surrounding area was scenic and close to the beach and Eden project. The farm had all the things we needed, even evening meals. The views on the farm was stunning. Lovely people were met on the farm on our holiday

The Swallows Nest cottage normally accommodates 6 but, due to our last minute decision to visit Cornwall, this was the only cottage remaining for the required period (2 of us). The accommodation is superb, finished and maintained to a very high standard. The complex of cottages (made up of a variety of sizes but all keeping to the same very high standard) is spacious, meaning that there is no intrusion from other guests. For families there is the added benefit of a games room and a swimming pool to compensate for the unpredictability of weather. In the Dairy room there are two tumble driers and a library, comprising books and DVDs, furnishing additional entertainment to supplement the (Freeview) TV if required. Individual WiFi for each cottage permits those of us who like to keep in touch with the outside world the opportunity to do so. The good quality of accessories is noticeable (e.g. Bosch dishwasher and washing machine). Central heating (with individual thermostatic control on every radiator) is available and is more than adequate to heat the property but a large wood-burning stove is also in place for cooler evenings, or just to snuggle up in front of when relaxing! The complex is part of a working farm and allows children to join in feeding some animals each morning - it seemed that this daily activity was actually the highlight of the holiday for some of the youngsters! The patrons, Andrew and Anita, are perfect hosts. A warm welcome awaited us, and one or other is always available and will be sure to do whatever is necessary to make your visit everything that you would want. Although there are a number of good eating places nearby, the complex also has a stock of locally sourced frozen meals ready to pop into the oven and enjoy. There is ample parking for cars remembering that this is Cornwall, which will always prove how good your driving skills really are.

We are so pleased that you didn't feel lost in Swallows Nest. It is a lovely barn and central heating is always a plus (especially on the colder nights). We do prefer to use local companies when buying goods. Most of our items are supplied by a local company electrical company and the furniture by another family run company. Also you are quite right about the animal feeding. The young children love feeding the animals with farmer Andrew (he enjoys it too). Thank you for your lovely comments. Hope you return to Higher Menadew Farm in the future.
