We stayed in the rafters cottage over a long bank holiday weekend, and can’t recommend it enough. We were here with our two young children, the facilities are fantastic and the cottage was wonderfully kept and fully equipped. The location is also spot on, close to Eden Project and some wonderful beaches and countryside. The cream tea on arrival was a particularly nice gesture after our long journey. We shall definitely be visiting again!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write your lovely review. Many of our guests do not realise how central we are for all the attractions.

The Eden Project is just 10 mins away, Charlestown is 15 mins away. Heligan Gardens is also great, about 20 mins away.. There is a garden called Pinetum just around the corner from Charlestown. So many beaches to choose from as well.

We do realise that it is important that the children enjoy their holiday, but also Mum and Dad too. Hope to see you all again. Thank you again for your lovely review

We had the best time at Swallows Nest and will definitely be back. The cottages are beautiful and spotlessly clean, lots of space and very cosy. It’s extremely child friendly, we have a 3 year old and 6 months old and it’s perfect for them. Playroom, playpark and pool are just fab, and lovely to see the farm animals. Can’t wait to be back

Thank you for taking the time to write your lovely review. We always say that if the children are happy, then the parents will be happy. There is so much to do in Cornwall. Lots of beaches to go shell collecting on. Also, pleased that you made use of the play room. Hope you will visit Cornwall again for your family holiday.

With 3 young kids choosing a well located place in Cornwall, peak season, can be a challenge. Our first visit to Higher Menadew was wonderful. The cottage was great - extremely spacious, very clean, with nice owners looking after us. The stand out for me was the onsite pool, which is indoor and well heated - the kids enjoyed this more than the beaches and would be up every morning waiting for me to take them swimming for 2 hours or more before then deciding to do something else. It isn't olympic sized and it doesn't have slides and sauna's, and it's too shallow really for adults but two of my children learnt to swim properly in the week we were here, so forever in the memory..

It's a car drive to the various beaches and attractions, but so much of Cornwall is easily accessible with little effort and on the two days the weather was terrible they happily spent all day in the pool.

Will definitely return.

Thank you for your lovely review of Higher Menadew Farm Cottages. We are very central in Cornwall. The South Coast is about 15 mins away and the North Coast is about mins. Regarding the swimming pool, it is not suitable for diving but perfect for swimming. I like to nip in the pool when it is quiet. It's great when children learn to swim and we have had a few new swimmers triumph in the pool

Fabulous place to stay. Cottages are beautiful. Fully equipped and clean. Great location on a farm near Eden Project. The owners Farmer Andrew and his wife Anita are very friendly but unobtrusive with lots of knowledge of Cornwall and places to visit. Loved the pool

My wife and I wanted to stay in Cornwall and chose Menadew from seeing the photographs and reading other reports. We are so glad that we did! From the moment we walked into Ryland cottage, we felt relaxed. It's a 2 person studio and is superbly equipped from the kitchen area to the lounge, sleeping area and shower room. Fresh flowers, milk, tea and clotted cream scones and jam were there to welcome us.
Anita came to tell us about the cottages and the amenities - we had a dedicated washer in the laundry room - and a little later, Andrew brought us some freshly-laid eggs from their hens. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
There is a family games room on the farm and the bonus of a splendid swimming pool which we often had to ourselves. We had our own car parking space which was another bonus. Should you decide to use them, there are frozen meals from a local source and Cornish ice cream of various flavours to purchase.
If you want a lovely, relaxing holiday in delightful surroundings, Menadew Farm takes some beating!

So glad that you felt at home in Ryland. It is a lovely little cottage, ideal for two people. I must admit, we are very proud of our swimming pool (wish we could use it more). We would love to see you back at Higher Menadew Farm. There is always something new to see in Cornwall
