My husband and I returned to the Greenhouse for another wonderful meal. We were greeted like old friends and made to feel very welcome. The food was outstanding. I had a Hake dish and my husband had the steak. The desserts were also wonderful. Chocolate nemesis and liquorice ice cream a perfect combination.

My husband and I visited this restaurant last night for the first time. We both had the same food, squid to start ( amazing ) and the fillet of beef ( gorgeous ). Thereafter we had a sweet of coffee creme brule which had a sort of Bonfire toffee glaze on the top and was served with a shortbread biscuit ( amazing ) taste. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and it was all cooked to perfection, we're still talking about the quality of the food today! What an amazing find and such nice people too, we'll be back ..

On the positive side, the service is friendly.

But unfortunately the food is not quite the exquisite perfection that the gushing reviews on Tripadvisor suggest.

Some of the food is in indeed good, such as the seafood starters, or many of the desserts.

However the chef seems to have lost the plot a bit on the mains. For example, we had the "local beef". It was tasteless and tough as old boots. After a couple of forkfuls, we gave up and left the rest on the plate, it was not worth the effort.

Would we go back ? Probably. But only to have a fish starter and a dessert, skip the mains.

Our party of 4 had the most delicious three course meal complete with 2 excellent bottles of wine. Unassuming from the street but once inside the room was bustling with atmosphere and everyone in there was clearly enjoying their meal as much as we were! A must visit if you are anywhere near- or even if your not! Will definitely be returning here when we visit again.

We enjoyed a fabulous meal here this evening. A small little restaurant run by a friendly couple. Fresh local food homemade bread and ice cream. Good selection of wine although you can BYO wine too. Would highly recommend.
