Well worth a visit if you are traveling through Barham. I had the Wagyu Beef Hot Rock and was very impressed. A really chunky piece of Wagyu , brought out on the Hot Rock plate , along with two sauces and veggies for $25. Excellent country value.

This has to be the best place for a meal in Barham. Everything was cooked perfectly. The staff were very friendly and courteous.
The open fireplace was warm and cosy and the room was spacious and the tables large.
The walls adorned with photographs of the early years form the area.

One of the few hotels / restaurants to offer hot rock cooking.
You choose your meal and it comes out on a sizzling hot rock.
I chose for lunch the rump steak, chips and salad for $25.
Huge lump of rump steak and you cook it yourself as to how you like to eat it.
Sensational piece of meat, and so tender.
50mm thick at one end, slightly thinner at the other.
Chips were fine, salad a bit ho hum.
Don't forget to ask for a bib if not offered.
It is a sizzle plate in front of you.

The Hot Rocks menu complements the rest of the food especially the Garlic Prawns. Excellent fare at a very reasonable cost. The Staff are very jovial and welcoming. A great place to eat and knock back a Coldy.
