It's a bit of an uphill drive to the viewpoint . But once you're there you're greeted with am amazing view of the mines.

Would recommend visiting this lookout while at Cobar. Not far from town, and not far from carpark to the lookout.

Huge mine, not far from Cobar town centre. Made me feel like I've arrived in the outback. It would be even better to see the mine in operation.

This site is a short distance south of Cobar - access is signposted. The view is from one of the few higher points in the area - the view of the open pit with its old workings and underground portal is well worth the visit. Information on the site and it’s history is posted inside the covered and fenced viewing platform. There’s a good view across the pit to Cobar and the surrounding countryside. Was well worth the drive.

Didn't know what to expect but WOW. What a fabulous view. You can't miss the turn off for this place. Turn left at the Cobar town sign and it's a short drive and we'll marked.
