Hubby and I came for 2 nights mid week. We were happy with our room. The bed was comfy, the spa was awesome and the shower a good size with great water pressure. The balcony was in a lovely spot with amazing views but as stated by previous customers, the louvred doors can’t be moved and block 50% of the view. These could be removed and a pull down blind installed for a much better view that still acts as a sunblock.
Air con worked well and we had Foxtel which was nice. Our unit was clean. The freezer didn’t work much at all and we lost an expensive tub of ice cream. ☹️. Oddly there is no sink to wash up in but there was a dishwasher tablet in the cupboard with the washing up cloths..
Everything is in walking distance and we really enjoyed our stay. We probably wouldn’t pay the full price to stay here. We got a special so it was quite reasonable. One big bonus was waking to the amazing site of a big pod of whales frolicking out the front.

Hi There,

Thank you so much for your fantastic review, I am so glad you had a wonderful time with us here at Marine. We have since removed the louver blinds and are sourcing some beautiful opaque blinds instead. Please come again soon to see all of our fantastic improvements!

There is limited two night accommodation available with ocean views in Kingscliff and so we came to stay at Marine Boutique Apartments. It is in a fantastic location and the studio apartment we were in had a great ocean view although you can only see out of half of the four metre balcony because of the blinds which take up two metres of the opening. The balcony is a good size although a lot of room is taken up with a day bed. The bathroom is also a good size although a lot of room is taken up by the spa bath. The shower recess was bigger than most but the extractor fan didn't seem to work. The bar fridge was having to work very hard to keep anything cold and the freezer (which didn't have a door) was so frosted up you couldn't really fit anything in it except for an ice cube tray. There is a good amount of hanging space in the wardrobe but only two hangers are provided. A toaster, kettle and microwave were provided as well as a good amount of crockery, cutlery and glassware (although no bottle opener) and some detergent and a scourer. This was good as we had brought cereal with us to have for breakfast and would have been great if we had bought takeaways. The only problem however is there is no sink to wash the dishes that you use and so you have to use the hand basin in the bathroom (which is very shallow and the long spout on the tap makes it difficult), or the spa bath, or the laundry tub which is outside the apartment. None of these options are ideal. What was really disappointing was that the apartment did not look like it had been properly cleaned for some time. I didn't mind removing the toe nail clipping from the carpet or the dark hairs from the bathroom floor, and I was happy to wipe over the table on the balcony, but I left the sand and the dust on the side of the day bed and the dust on the power points for someone else to clean. The carpet doesn't look like it's been properly vacuumed for a long time (especially around the outside of the room) and the cushions on the day bed need to be replaced or cleaned to remove the mildew. The doona cover also needs to be cleaned. If we had paid a lot less for this apartment I would have been happy to give it an average rating but given how much we did pay ($425 for two nights) I can only say that it was poor.

Had an enjoyable overnight stay in a one bedroom overlooking the beach as part of a family getaway ( rest were in a two bedroom at the rear).
All the facilities required for a short stay......good to sit on the balcony looking at the ocean with a few beverages and snacks, and the highlight for me was the super comfy bed.
Plenty of places close by for a coffee/breakfast/meals..we had breakfast just below us.
The "pool" was about the size of a lift well, with 2 lounges...don't know if it ever got any sun(didn't look, very uninviting)......under cover parking was VERY tight to manoeuvre into...a coffee shop below the front units obviously had their rubbish bins stored in a garage space under the building, so created a bit of noise attending to them on a Sunday morning ( very noticeable from back unit)
The back unit( where we spent time playing cards) overlooked the back off eateries so family wasn't overly impressed.
As I said the location and the bed was the highlight of our stay....would I stay there again? probably not at the price we paid

Room Tip: top floor rm102 ..single, facing beach

Stayed here while I did few days training course. Stayed in apartment 2 front facing 2 bedroom 1 bathroom. Not small but not huge either, good balcony, great kitchen well equipped. However air condition very poor needs thorough clean. It was extremely humid during my stay and the A/C totally inadequate. Bedrooms are small and if you had 5 people bathroom would be again not suitable. Lighting in the stairwell was poor as on push button timer and hard to find in the dark. It has parking but the garage is a tight fit and doesn't leave a lot of room for error. Over all location is its saving grace and I think it's on the small side for a family with kids. So if you get a good deal it's fine and there's no more than a couple of you otherwise look at some with more space.

Somewhat unclean. Dust everywhere. Sand all over the daybed. Door did not lock from the inside so we had to barricade ourselves in for the night with chairs. Fridge /freezer didn't work very well (don't take anything frozen!), it's also inside a cupboard which made the outside of it burn your fingers if you touched it (possible fire hazzard) ...We also booked a one-bedroom apartment and were given a studio instead :(. Don't book a studio apartment if you are looking to have a romantic rendesvous - you will not be able to go to the toilet without your partner hearing everything! Best part about the place was the coffee shop downstairs, comfy bed, air-con, and amazing spa bathtub. Studio apartment ideal if you want some solitude.
