turned up after a shopping spree and headed to the room. Pleasantly surprised, nice en suite , great bed and view to die for. All in all a great stay. Walking distance to all restaurants, shops and the hotel. Didt dine in but menu was interesting enough.

Stayed: January 2018
Thank Dan B

Very average place. The things it has going for it is the hotel proximity to the main drag and quality food options plus what you really need clean in a hotel room (bed, sheets and towels, bathroom). For a modern hotel I was surprised by the lack of room upkeep. The room was filthy. Maybe it's not part of their cleaning program. The carpet, walls, furnishings were dirty detracting from the overall hotel stay experience. The bed was saggy - a once soft bed which has lost its support, bottoming out to give you shoulder pain. The pillows were close to being past its use by. On checking out this morning they didn't even ask me how was my stay or even thanked me. One of the reasons why I chose to stay here is it is a brand name hotel so you expect a consistent level across all important accommodation criteria. Anyway I was wrong and will be broadening my search next time to other accommodation options.

Stayed for visit to family in the local area, only a single staff member to handle reception etc, reception constantly switched to voice mail requiring a walk to reception to ask a question. Carpets in hallways and rooms are stained and smell.

Stayed here for two nights ... the room was tidy, clean with fresh linen but the A/C was a bit noisy. The adjacent Diggers was interconnected for easy access to food and drinks at all times of the day.

But the highlight was the lovely staff; polite, informative and helpful.

Special thanks to Shona on reception for her advice and helpfulness.

Stayed two nights in a large king deluxe room opposite the lift. The room was well appointed recently renovated. Reception staff were friendly. The motel is connected to the Diggers RSL club by an internal walkway and was the venue for breakfast and dinner. A nice place let down just a little by air conditioner noise from the club permiating into the room, particularly later in the evening when its quiet. Centrally located a few minutes from the Waterfront at The Entrance and a few Ks south was Bateau Bay and Terrigal. Recommended
