We stayed at this hotel while in the Philadelphia area for three days.

The hotel was immaculate; the laundry facilities reasonably priced, and the room was perfect.

The hotel allows dogs, but charges a $25 per day fee. While some might think this is high, this is about the only hotel in the Lansdale - NE Philadelphia Metro area that allows dogs and has very good customer review. There's plenty of places to walk your dog on the side and rear of the parking lot.

The food in the lounge is excellent. You need to figure on about $25 per person plus tip and alcoholic drinks.

The room rate seemed a bit high, even with our discounts.

We were thanked at arrival and departure for our business. What a shocker!

Awesome lobby, attached bar and eating.
Two different rooms over two nights (my choice), and both were like brand new.
Cannot find anything that needs improvement.

I have stayed at the Holiday Inn Lansdale every week since november 2010 and have always had a great experience. This hotel recently underwent a renovation and looks fantastic. The front desk always greats me with a smile and knows exactly what I need before I even get there. The rooms have brand new furniture and flat screen TVs. The lounge is good place to relax after a long day of traveling and the hotel restaurant has excellent food. I always look forward to staying at the hotel and will keep on coming back.

The way I look at Holiday Inns generally is, that they host the tired ghosts of thousands of tired and failed sales meetings. Accordingly, when i find one that's been gussied up....I'm impressed. Walking into the lobby of the 'new and improved' property at Lansdale/Kulpsville i was really encouraged. Place looks new, front desk friendly.....nice big plasma TV on thew wall...........
But then one walks back into the hotel proper..........and it's like an institution.
I mean REALLY like an institution,
And for help in finding your room....are you in building A, or B?
And why are there stairs and massive double doors and not a ramp?
And WHY for chrissakes all of that PLUS an elevator AND a corridor trek reminiscent of the 'Man from Uncle' to get to a supposedly 'disabled friendly' room?
Hint to management: the room was nice, the journey to get there was difficult and I'm not in a wheelchair. What WERE you thinking?
Bar was good, Dining was awful ,,,,, and SLOW.
Room was clean well appointed and roomy..........ps having a bedside alarm that can be turned OFF without having to lock the damn thing still beeping but unplugged in the tub would have been nice. Just a thought.
Say you're there to visit Merck & Co and they'll give you $40 off the rack rate.
All in all, - ok for the money...........just prepare yourself with hiking boots and compass to get to and from your bedside.

We traveled to Harleysville for a family reunion. The carpets in front of the elevators were stained and filthy. The same tic-tacs and other small garbage items were on the floor in the elevator cab the entire 5 days we were there. There was no room service -even though the hotel has room service menus in the room and specifies room service hours. The restaurant was closed during some of the posted "open" hours. The restaurant staff is polite, but untrained. We sat for over 5 minutes one morning before we were even offered a cup of coffee (let alone give our orders) and there were only two other tables of guests. The hostess did not know the price of the buffet. Good news - the food was good once we finally got it. The PM front desk clerk was outside smoking more often than he was standing behind the front desk. The lobby smelled of smoke. We saw guests standing in the lobby confused, looking for assistance, not knowing where the front desk clerk was. The pool was closed early the one night we were there - in spite of the posted hours stating it should have been open. We didn't bother going back to the pool or the restaurant - and likely won't go back to the hotel. A hotel is not just about the rooms. This hotel and owner obviously haven't learned this yet. Oh - the rooms were inexpensively decorated, but decent. Probably the best thing about the hotel - except the internet worked intermittently. What a mess of a hotel experience.
